Barcelona has been long known for its great beaches, fashion and hotels (which is where we come in). The city was recently awarded Spain’s top traveler’s choice destination from TripAdvisor and ranks as the country’s most-visited city with more than 12.3 million overnight visitors from January to September 2012.

For those considering a trip to Barcelona there’s no better advice than those of your fellow travelers as to where to stay. They’ve been there, done that. Our latest study gives Barcelona-bound adventurers just that: a snapshot of guests’ favorite hotels, based on the TrustScore, the world’s first, independent score representing all online opinions from around the world.

You guessed it – great service and location drive these hotel winners to the top of the list. Not surprising, given our past findings about what matters most to guests.

The top-notch service at these hotels is what sets them apart; with many guests stating “this was the best service they have ever received at a hotel.” Wow. Guests go on to say that the staff is knowledgeable, professional, and simply make visitors feel right at home.
