The third quarter of 2022 highlighted the peak summer travel season, with many travelers eager to enjoy travel again without the restrictions of the past two years. Global air travel reached more than 73% of its pre-pandemic level for August, according to The International Air Transport Association. Although international travel is in a much better position than in 2021, domestic trips continue to lead the recovery race.
