The German hotelclassification cooperates with Social Media Monitoring Specialist TrustYou

We are proud to announce that the German hotel and star rating association DEHOGA has selected TrustYou as a partner in the star rating process. Online travel magazine Tnooz had this to say: A deal struck between the Organisation of German Hotels and Restaurants (DEHOGA) and social media monitoring platform TrustYou follows a similar move by the sister industry body in Switzerland, Hotellerie Suisse. The TrustYou system analyses hundreds of review sites, hotel online rating systems and social networks to find the overall consumer rating for a property. Facts and Figures about the Five Biggest Hotel Groups Worldwide

In March, we had a deeper look into the facts about the five biggest hotel groups of the world. According to a study of the MKG-Group in June 2010, the five biggest hotel groups worldwide are the British IHG with 643,787 rooms, followed by 3 US hotel groups, the Wyndham Hotel Group (597,674 rooms), Hilton Hotels (587,813 rooms) and Marriott International (580,876 rooms). The French Accor Group is the 5th largest hotel group with 492,675 rooms in 2010. Social Media Trends in Hotel Marketing

In February and March, TripAdvisor published the 2011 Accommodation Owners Survey of U.S.A. and UK. They announced the results of its first annual survey of more than 1,000 U.S. accommodation owners -- hoteliers, B&B owners and innkeepers – and over 500 British hoteliers and B&B owners who revealed their plans to attract travelers in 2011 and increase repeat customers.
