Statement on Recent Cancellations of ITB Berlin and ITB India

by March 4, 2020 8:33 am In The News, Press Releases

The official news of ITB Berlin’s cancellation was made public only a few days before the show. This was closely followed by ITB India, canceled due to the same reasons. In light of the coronavirus outbreak and its potentially severe consequences, the organizers prioritized the safety of the participants and exhibitors. For many years now, TrustYou has been a loyal supporter of the ITB tradeshows and our company was always represented there with pride and excitement. While we were looking forward to this year’s events and we were deeply saddened to find out about their cancellation, we are in complete agreement with the organizers and firmly stand by their decision. At the moment, safety is our number one priority and we would not encourage any decision that would jeopardize the health and well-being of any customer, exhibitor, organizer, or employee.

We would like to thank the organizers of ITB Berlin and ITB India, as well as the hospitality professionals who registered for a 1:1 on-site meeting with our experts. Please know that we are more than happy to connect with you virtually. You can always reach out to our team, at any time and in any way that feels comfortable to you. You can get in touch by using the contact us form on our website or if you're one of our trusted clients/partners, please feel free to reach out to your account manager or our service team.

Health is our main priority in these times of crises and uncertainties. We urge you to stay safe, focus on your well-being, and emphasize in equal measure the well-being of your guests and customers. We are positive that, as many other times before, the travel and hospitality industry will be able to recover successfully after this unfortunate phase. These are times to show resilience, to shift the main focus towards proper crisis management, and to prioritize safety above all.
