A Hotelier’s Guide to Google+
Some hoteliers may have discounted Google+. I, for one, think that is a mistake. I can’t overlook the fact that the social network belongs to Google, one of the largest and most influential Internet companies in the world. But, even if you want to overlook that fact, it is hard to turn a blind eye to recent research from Digital Marketing Works. It shows that the volume and score of reviews written on Google+ is highly correlated to Google's Carousel rank. This means that more reviews on Google = more visibility for hotels in search results, which can lead to more bookings.
If you haven’t jumped aboard Google+ (I’m not judging!), it may feel a bit confusing at first. The first thing you’ll want to do is find your brand’s social voice (tips for that in yesterday’s blog). Then, download our Hotelier’s Guide to Google+. This Google+ quick guide includes:
- Why Google+ is so important (a look at the stats)
- An explanation of the difference between Google+ Local and Google Hotel Finder
- Tips for setting up your Google+ page
- Ways to get the most from Google+
