Social Media Isn’t Killing My Attention Span … Boring Content Is!

durch März 31, 2014 10:13 am Neuigkeiten

This is a guest article by Margaret Ady, Marketing Director TrustYou written for Opensmjle. The original content can be found here.  I have a short attention span. There is plenty of research that blames social media for this. Sure, social may play a role, but I’m not about to place all the blame there. The real problem is that there is a flood of boring and often irrelevant content out there. And, with a growing email inbox, a full schedule of meetings and sunny spring weather beckoning me to come outside, I don’t have the time or patience to read through… Lesen Sie mehr »

TrustYou wants to be ‚the alternative to TripAdvisor‘

durch März 21, 2014 11:02 am Neuigkeiten

Note: This article was originally published in Webintravel.com.The original content can be found here. How many reviews can anyone possibly read before deciding on a hotel? Well, a recent TripAdvisor study commissioned by PhoCusWright shows that travelers read at least six to twelve reviews prior to booking. Now imagine as the universe of user reviews grows –  TripAdvisor now boasts more than 150 million reviews and we know that quantity does not necessarily relate to quality – someone has to aggregate and make sense of these reviews and portray them in a fashion easy enough for consumers to understand. Well, that’s the code Munich-based TrustYou is cracking… Lesen Sie mehr »

Note: This article was originally published in Tnooz. The original content can be found here. A recent TripAdvisor-PhoCusWright study shows that consumers read at least six to twelve travel reviews prior to booking. That study was based on trends over the past year. However, the Internet is a fast paced and ever changing world, and there are signs that in the near future, travelers might consume reviews in a different way. TrustYou, for example, has developed what it calls “the Meta-Review”, a summary of a hotel’s reputation derived from semantic analysis of reviews across the world. The claimed reach of more than 50 million monthly… Lesen Sie mehr »

Travelers will smile about service, but are irate over internet

durch Januar 21, 2014 11:08 am Neuigkeiten

Note: This article was published in Tnooz and can be found here. Like millions of others, I traveled to see my family for the holidays. While on the road, I ended up staying in a hotel in St Louis for a few days. The hotel was beautiful; the lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was bright, clean and big. However, upon my departure, I gave the hotel a mediocre review. Why? I had to pay $22 per day for internet service. Having to pay for internet is a pet peeve of mine.… Lesen Sie mehr »
